Who am I?
My name is William Arasmith. I am the owner of The Langdon House recording studio. Why pick my studio? Excellent question.
There are a great number of recording studios to choose from. All of them are good at what they do and put out some excellent albums by awesome artists. They all have amazing talent behind the scenes that have been in the business a good long while. To say you have some options is a definite understatement! So let me tell you a little bit about myself which may help you in your decision.
I have over 30 years of experience in the audio field. I started running sound for my dad's gospel group when I was 7 years old and continued for 5 years until the group dissolved. I did theater in high school running sound for all the school's productions while I attended. I have run sound for other groups as well and toured extensively with a regional southern gospel quartet in Kansas for 6 years doing about 150+ dates a year. I currently sing and run sound full-time with the Liberty Quartet from Boise, ID singing southern gospel music across the country. I graduated from Washburn University with a Bachelor's in Music Education. I have heard all kinds of music and know how different genres should sound. I have also written many pieces of music for different instruments/ensembles and have helped write songs for other groups. I have done studio work for a couple groups during that time and really came to enjoy the process of creating something in the studio that nobody has ever heard before. It's new, exciting, different, and eye-opening.
This studio is a dream of mine finally coming to fruition. If you want to make an album that sounds good, you should have one that's affordable.
